If you haven’t checked it out yet, our App Explorer Report allows you to set filter parameters leveraging powerful search criteria to pull back a custom group of apps, allowing you to identify high-performing apps and high-value leads. It’s a great report to kick off your research on a particular industry, and to set more finite criteria as you’re analyzing the mobile landscape.

For example, if you were looking to pull a list of high performing apps in the US that have a recipe component across all app store categories, you can search for an app that mentions “recipe” in the app description, with a specific company HQ, and that has seen at least 100k amount of downloads over the last 30 days

This particular list is quite long, so you can use this as a starting point for your research on apps of interest that are performing well in downloads and active usage. When you analyze the apps in the search results you are able to view their performance metrics and determine which apps to include in your research.

From here you can create custom groups of apps to analyze in our other performance reports like our Compare Report and Insights Generator.

Let me know if you have any questions on how you can apply this to your day-to-day!
