We love keeping a pulse on apps that are making moves and seeing results. This week, we’re taking a look at Peacock exclusive National Football League (NFL) coverage.🏈 January 13th marked the first ever streaming-exclusive NFL Playoff game, with the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Miami Dolphins and Hard Rock Stadium exclusively on Peacock.🇺🇲 The NFL Wild Card game propelled Peacock to more than 500,000 new downloads on mobile alone in the United States🤝 Exclusive marquee event content is a great way for streaming app publishers to drive consumer engagement and adoption.
Temu had their biggest fall in the US iOS App Store ranks for at least a year (possibly ever!) in the week before the Superbowl, where it fell from 1st place to 12th in the ranks (see attached photo). data.ai shows that Temu reduced their downloads from paid search by -46% that week - that's the biggest weekly fall in paid search downloads in Temu's history in the US on iPhone.Temu ran TV ads at the Superbowl, so potentially, this was cutting back to go big here, and offered $15m in giveaways but I can't see that - especially since they didn't do this last year when they ran TV ads in the Superbowl.
